Literary Translator

I’m Isobel Foxford, a literary translator working from Portuguese and Spanish into English. I graduated with a first-class degree in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford, and a master’s degree with distinction in Literary Translation from the University of East Anglia.

My interests are contemporary Brazilian literature, post-colonial translation practice, the literature of Portuguese Africa and indigenous writing from Brazil.
